Seabrook Island is located along the Atlantic coast just 22 miles from the city of Charleston and offers a wide variety of home styles from which to choose. The island is home to two four-star golf courses, including Crooked Oaks, which recently underwent a $2.3 million renovation. It is the only course in the area that features bentgrass greens.

Bohicket Marina, which offers fishing, boating and other water recreation opportunities, is located just outside Seabrook Island's gate. Across from the marine, Fresh Fields shopping center is currently under construction. Plans for Fresh Fields include an up-scale supermarket, as well as a number of exclusive shops and service companies.
